I have to say, I enjoy link parties and blogging prompts. They are perfect for those days where I want to keep generating content but don’t necessarily have all the time it takes to put together and Original Moms Don’t Say That Post. Don’t worry you’ll still get plenty of original content for me. We are finally starting to get in to a routine with Brody so I have a better idea of when I can get my writing done. That may change if he ever starts to enjoy breastfeeding and we switch to exclusively breastfeeding but he isn’t considered full term until next Tuesday and the LC said that is when he may start to catch on.
So anywho, here we go with the Monday Mingle hosted by Funny PostPartum Lady and Story of a Girl. I absolutely love these two women. They have made pregnancy and mommyhood very entertaining. Please check them out and tell them I sent you.
Today’s questions are all about kids.
1. Do you have any kids? If so, how many? If not, how many do you want or do you want any?
I have one son, Brody, who is 2 weeks old today. He was an oops baby and came a few years earlier than I had planned. I had always been ambivalent about having kids. My boyfriend wanted kids eventually and we had a relationship that seemed to be headed that direction after marriage and a couple years. But somebody, somewhere, had a different plan and here we are. We both would like to have more in the future.
2. What is the cutest thing you’ve ever heard a kid say?
My nephew used to call chocolate “clockolate”
3. What is your favorite memory as a kid, if you could pick one?
Ugh. I have so many of them. In general my favorite memories were family trips to Tulsa to visit family. I always loved road trips.
4. As a kid, what was your favorite subject in school?
Science has always been my favorite subject followed by creative writing….weird combo I know
5. When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Lots of things. Firefighter, doctor, teacher, etc. I think it changed each here. I don’t remember being dead set on anything but I remember various dreams of different professions. I may not be a firefighter now, but working in fire dispatch is pretty close.
