30 Weight Watchers Dinners & Desserts

30 weight watchers dinners and desserts

Happy Motivational Monday.  I haven’t been active in Weight Watchers for years but I do still believe in the program.  It helped me lose 25 pounds in the past and it was super easy to use.  My current diet plan requires me to count grams of protein, carbs and fats so following a points system doesn’t really work for me right now.  I do, however adapt many of the WW recipes in to my current diet plan because the are usually easy to follow and don’t take a lot of time.

Here is a roundup of 30 Weight Watchers Dinners and Desserts that you can easily work in to your diet plan,  I’m especially excited about this list because of the soups and chilis included.  Fall is in the air and that means I crave soups and stews.

Sunday Social: Falling for Fall

Social Sunday

One day I will follow through and keep up on my blog.  I really wish I could do blogging and writing full time.  I’m not at a point were I can quit my job to work from home full time so I’m forced to squeeze writing and personal blogging in to the few fleeting moments of free time that I have left.  So unfortunately that means sporadic postings from me.  I’m working on finding a better work/life/writing balance.  It’s just taking longer than I want it to.Any who, It is time for another Sunday Social and this week it is all about Fall.  It’s one of my favorite times of the year because its starting to cool off finally.

1. What is your favorite part of fall?

Football, Pumpkin Beer, and cooler temps.  Seriously.  I’m so ready not to sweat balls every time I leave my house.
2. Do you have anything special planned for fall?

Cooler temps means it’s race season here in Phoenix.  I have a couple 5k’s, 10k’s and a Ragnar Relay planned.  We also celebrate our 3 year anniversary and I’ve got some things up my sleeve that I am looking forward to.
3. What is fall like in your area?

Fall means warm days and cooler nights.  It finally starts to get comfortable here in Phoenix.  Days are still in the 80’s but nights will start the dip in to the 60’s finally with 50’s showing up towards the end of fall.  No leaves to change colors around here tho.  I definitely miss that.
4. What is your favorite football team to cheer for (college or professional)?

Chicago Bears (duh) and Oklahoma Sooners

Bears

5. Do you decorate for fall? Show us pics!

I haven’t and I probably won’t just because house decor and a 19th month old don’t mix.  I might try to do something outside tho.

Link Up & Drink Up: It’s Tuesday’s Tea Party

It’s time for another Tea Party.  Come join us.  Hop around, like some pages and follow some new friends.  I have some great content in the works for you such as surviving a flood when you live in the desert and my recap for the Washington DC Ragnar Relay Race which is this Friday and Saturday.  Say your prayers that I don’t die and will be able to help co-host again next week.
Welcome to the start of Tea Party… AGAIN!

Tuesday Ten: It’s Cool To Be Weird

The Liebers
I have been weird as long as I can remember.  I have quirks.  I do strange things.  It’s always just been a part of me.  Baby Daddy raises his eyebrows at some of the things I do at times and shakes his head at others.  So here are 10 weird things about me.
1.  I love school and studying.  I will read textbooks for fun.  I’d read one every day if it wasn’t for Rhino always needing attention.
2.  I hate walking on raised bricks.  You know the kind that are always in front of the Walmart entrances.  Same with the raised dots on walk ways.  Drives me mad.
3.  I obsess about new things.  Overly.  If I pick up a new hobby I have to learn everything about it.  I started paddle boarding and now I have to read and do everything paddle board realated.
4.  I’m scared of tunnels even tho I have to drive through every day on my way to and from work.  I always picture the Independence Day scene where the fire ball comes barreling through the tunnel.
5.  I hate tomatoes but love spaghetti sauce, non-chunky salsa, and ketchup.
6.   I can smell milk that has been left out for any length of time as soon as I walk in the door.
7.  I don’t eat yellow skittles, sour patch kids or starbursts
8.  I sort my skittles and eat them by color
9.  I will not pee in the shower.  I will get out and sit on the toilet instead
10.  Smell is the biggest memory trigger for me.  Certain smells will immediately bring me back to certain times and places
I’m sure there is more.  I’m pretty sure that Baby Daddy could make a list of 10 things he thinks are weird about me and none would overlap.  What is one thing that is weird about you?  If you know me, what is one thing that is weird about me.

Motivational Monday: Here’s Hoping I Don’t Die

motivational monday

I am back in the saddle again.  Well mostly.  Trying to get back in the swing of blog writing.  I have missed it so much but at the same time I have become suddenly overwhelmed.  I’ll find a balance again.  It’s going to take some time to figure that out with all the other things going on with my life.

Remember a few months back when I announced that my Declare It Day goal was to run a Ragnar Relay race?  And remember how I decided that Las Vegas in November was going to be my first Ragnar Race and that I would captain a team of awesome moms to run?  Well that is still going to happen but, against my better judgement, it will be my second Ragnar Relay.  I somehow agreed to run Ragnar Washington DC just over 2 weeks from now.

course map

To be honest, I’m not really ready and I might die.  But I’m looking forward to the excitement and challenge of being a runner.  I am set to be runner number 1.  My legs are 4.88 miles, 4.7 miles, and 4.2 miles.  All are rated at a moderate level.  I’m not familiar with the area so I don’t quite know what the terrain is like, nor do I know what van support will look like on my legs.  Physically I think I’ll be okay.  I’ve seen heavier people and not as well conditioned people as me run this race.  I have the benefit of a couple of months of cardio and strength training under my belt.  I’ve dropped 25 pounds and 8% body fat since I decided I wanted to take on the Vegas race.  My biggest hurdle will be the mental part of it.  I’m still in the mind frame that I am out of shape and will never survive.   My ability for positive self-talk has always been lacking.  I need to reframe and remember that it isn’t about time it’s about finishing.  This will definitely be the hardest I have pushed myself.  If I can hurf my heavy ass over obstacles completely out of shape and covered in mud, I should be able to do this right?

And for those of you keeping track at home.  Here is my progress from April to August.  It’s slow. I’m betting my thyroid/vitamin deficiency/undiagnosed issues are playing in to the slowness of my weightloss (not my french toast binge).  Either way it’s coming off and that’s the important part right?  I didn’t put the weight on in a week and it’s not coming off in a week either.

Slow and Steady

I also took up paddle boarding on my blog hiatus.  It is such an amazing work out and so much fun.  I’m trying to go at least once a month.  I highly recommend it.

10568829_10204258721177062_1292101978365268735_n

That is about all I have for today.  It’s been awhile and I have many things to update you all on as the days go on.  Thank you for sticking around during my hiatus.

Sunday Social: Is This How This Works

Social Sunday

Can it be?  Is it really?  Yep it’s a new blog post.  I took some time off to move my blog from one hosting site to another and to just relax for a little bit.  I love writing, but sometimes you just need a little hiatus.

So to ease back in to this thing called blogging, here is one of my favorite blog hops.  Sunday Social.

1. What are you most looking forward to about Fall?

I am looking forward to cooler temperatures and being able to run outside.  I miss running outside and the treadmill is horribly boring.  I know people who run outside in the summer and I think they are effing nuts.

2. What is your favorite sports team?

Chicago Bears

3. If you could go back to college is there one thing you would change?

I would probably change my sophomore year.  I made bad decisions and really screwed up academically

4. What was your favorite class you ever took? HS or College

I love Biology 2 in High School.  I had the best teacher and he wrote a killer recommendation letter for me.  In college I loved anatomy and my psychology research classes.

5. Reach into your purse what is the first thing you grab?

Medication bottles.  My purse is filled with them sadly.  That or sunglasses.
